How to Handle Shipping Damage

Sadly, it does happen; but fortunately, very few shipments are damaged. The satisfactory resolution is dependent upon your actions at time of delivery. If you see any damage to the box or anything that would indicate hidden damage, it MUST be noted on the delivery receipt. If the product is seriously damaged, we suggest you refuse the shipment. We will ship replacement goods as promptly as possible and will work diligently to resolve the damage loss.

If you fail to note the possibility of damage on the delivery receipt, you will find it VERY difficult to obtain any relief from the shipping company, should you have damage that was not noted on the receipt. If hidden damage is discovered, USPS give 24 hours to report, FedEx and UPS give 48 hours to report any damage to packages left or concealed damage.  After this time it becomes difficult to obtain relief without a lot of effort and diligence.

If you have ANY concerns about damage, I strongly encourage you to call the shipper's local terminal and speak to the manager about your concerns before the driver leaves. Firefly Fuel is not responsible for shipping damage. The shipper accepts responsibility for your shipment when picked up at our warehouse. If it is damaged en-route it is the shipper's responsibility. However, we want to make certain our customers receive product promptly, safely and undamaged. If there is a problem we will do everything to help resolve any problem so you have a good experience.

We appreciate your business and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.
